Free Depression Self-Test

Check in on your mood, energy, and motivation over the past 2 weeks.

Everyone has off days. But if you’ve been feeling down, worn out, or uninterested in things you used to enjoy for weeks at a time, it may be more than a rough patch. This self-test can help you see the bigger picture.

It’s based on the PHQ-8, a screening tool widely used in doctors’ offices to check for depression. It takes about 2 minutes. Your results aren’t a diagnosis, but they can help you decide whether to talk with a professional.

At Insight Recovery Mental Health, we offer depression therapy for adults in Winchester and nearby communities, with day, evening, and telehealth options.

Need help right now? If you’re in crisis or having thoughts of hurting yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. In Massachusetts, you can also call or text the Behavioral Health Help Line at 833-773-2445, 24/7. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911.

Disclaimer: This self-test is for informational purposes only and is not a medical diagnosis. Please talk with a qualified healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment.

Privacy: You don’t need to share your name to take this test. Your answers are only seen by the Insight Recovery Mental Health team. Adding your contact info at the end is optional.
